Hi Richard. You are absolutely correct. Misinformation and manipulation, along with most of the ills of modern society, are driven by greed — and as it turns out, the greedy few (the so-called 1%). One other commentator said it well: "There is no end to the suffering society has endured due to the few controlling the understanding of the many." AI will only compound this.
